Overview

Ashley Rice is a transactions associate at Allensworth, working primarily with developers and design professionals. She supports the team by thoroughly reviewing and refining contracts—ensuring rights, obligations, and risk exposure are clearly defined. No detail is too small when it comes to keeping clients well positioned from all angles.

Prior to joining the firm, Ashley handled high-stakes commercial litigation, working through commercial construction disputes involving breach of contract, breach of warranty, delay claims, and complex contract interpretation. Her earlier experience interning with the 261st Civil District Court of Travis County and the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Rules forged her analytical instincts and gave her an early appreciation for how language shapes outcomes.

Having seen firsthand how agreements are tested in litigation, Ashley drafts with a more critical eye—tracing every clause to its potential consequences before ink hits the page. Should something unexpected arise, it informs the next contract. With Ashley, the same problem never surfaces twice.

Ashley holds a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Outside the office, she can be found cheering on Liverpool F.C., perfecting her pickleball dink, or playing sand volleyball at Zilker Park.
