Overview

Justin Fishback counsels owners, contractors, and engineers on the drafting, negotiation, and revision of construction contracts. His background in both contract formation and dispute resolution informs his ability to anticipate risk and develop practical strategies that help clients avoid costly conflicts.

Prior to joining the firm, Justin spent over seven years as one of two in-house attorneys at Jason’s Deli’s corporate office, where he drafted and negotiated lease, supply, and asset purchase agreements; managed real estate transactions; and advised on regulatory compliance for roughly 160 locations spanning 17 states. Before that, he practiced as a litigator, trying civil cases from pleadings through trial and appeal on both the plaintiff and defense sides, representing clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. That varied experience gives Justin an understanding of how the same issue can look from different sides of the table—insight that strengthens the firm’s 360° view of the construction industry and the parties within it.

Whether navigating the nuances of laws across multiple jurisdictions or confronting a novel legal question, Justin doesn’t settle for easy answers.  He’s known for rolling up his sleeves, digging into complex matters, and developing well-reasoned solutions. Colleagues and opposing counsel alike have noted his preparation and professionalism. For clients, that translates into clear guidance that keeps their business moving forward.

Outside the office, Justin and his wife are busy keeping four small humans entertained and mostly out of trouble. When he does carve out free time, you’ll likely find him outdoors—fishing, hunting, or hiking.
