Overview

Where others might get lost in the weeds, that’s exactly where Mackenzie Salter finds her footing. As a steady presence supporting Allensworth’s clients – including design professionals, architects, and engineers – she brings clarity and structure to the complex challenges of construction law. With a thoughtful and deliberate approach, she tackles today’s challenges while keeping tomorrow’s implications squarely in view.

Mackenzie’s background in commercial litigation includes representing subcontractors and general contractors in real estate and construction-related matters, from payment disputes and lien foreclosures to surety, negligence, and contract claims. These experiences gave her a comprehensive view of the construction project lifecycle and insight into the motivations driving each party. Today, she draws on that broad perspective to develop strategies that anticipate challenges while safeguarding client interests.

A double Longhorn, Mackenzie earned both her B.B.A. in International Business and her J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, where she served as Communications Director for the Texas International Law Journal. Passionate about travel, she also participated in exchange programs in France and Singapore. When she’s stateside, she’s most likely in her garden – proudly tending to her tomatoes and cucumbers – or enjoying a quiet evening reading with her cat.
