Our clients are hard at work building up the city of Austin. We want to shine a light on a few of their recent standout projects.

This year brings the South Congress Hotel, a posh boutique hotel located in the 1600 block of South Congress Avenue designed by Dick Clark + Associates and Michael Hsu Office of Architecture. In addition to its 71 rooms and 12 suites, this hotel will feature a bar, restaurants, a custom motorcycle shop and a rooftop pool.

Dick Clark + Associates has also been busy designing Capitol Studios, an apartment building for the nonprofit Foundation Communities. The Austin Business Journal recognized the team for its superb work, including crafting this community between three Capitol view corridors.

St. Edward’s University, a private university based in Austin, selected Baldridge Architects to renovate Holy Cross Hall, a hilltop historic structure built in 1903. This project also calls for restoration work on the school’s iconic main building at the center of campus.

The Austin Business Journal also recognized dwg. for their work on the Denizen Condominiums. Using a tree protection plan to preserve heritage trees and 3.8 acres of open space, this multifamily development is an environmental oasis complete with a community garden.

Our client White Construction Company is beginning to build Austin’s best-kept secret, the NLand Surf Park. DWG is also working on this 160-acre inland surf park, which will open in 2016 and be located near the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Also related to the Austin airport, MPA Architects will work on the new general aviation complex through September 2016. The $25 million facility will feature upscale services and design aimed at private aircraft customers.

Our client Cielo Property Group, an Austin real estate company, will build a 28-story, 349,000-square-foot office building in the place of The Austin Music Hall at 208 Nueces St. in downtown. According to the Austin Business Journal, the predominantly glass tower will include ground-floor retail, outdoor terraces overlooking Shoal Creek and three floors of creative office space that feature 28-foot ceilings and loft-like spaces.

Congratulations to all our clients for their work on high-quality, innovative projects in the community!
