Celebrating Two Years of Allensworth’s Water Law Practice Group & Jason Hill

August marks the two-year anniversary of a pivotal moment for Allensworth: the expansion of our Water Law Practice Group and the addition of Jason Hill to our team. As we reflect on this milestone, we take pride in building a practice that doesn’t just solve legal problems, but also unlocks the potential for entire communities across Texas.

A Vision Realized

When we expanded our water law practice, our goal was clear: to deliver comprehensive legal expertise that transforms our clients’ complex water challenges into successful outcomes throughout the entire project lifecycle. With Jason Hill’s considerable water law experience and the support of the team around him, we have delivered on this vision—helping cities, developers, and industries tackle regulatory hurdles and secure the water resources essential to their continued advancement.

The team at Allensworth has helped rural water systems across Texas address emerging issues stemming from rapid population growth. We’ve helped secure water quality permitting that enabled construction of a cutting-edge wastewater treatment plant, and we’ve assisted cities in establishing and safeguarding their critical water resources for future generations through strategic supply networks. Yet our work has only just begun. As emerging data reveals that available, safe water is becoming increasingly scarce and industry organizations pursue greater access to these vital resources, we remain committed to advocating for our clients at the agency, trial, and appellate levels, combining our extensive technical, trial, and oral advocacy strengths to make a lasting imprint on the Texas water landscape.

Recognition by Chambers USA

We are also proud to share that our Water Law Practice Group was recently recognized by Chambers USA, a leading legal industry authority. This recognition reflects our team’s commitment to excellence, deep expertise, and the trust our clients place in us to navigate Texas’s most layered water law matters.

“The success of our water law practice is a testament to the vision we set two years ago: to be trusted advisors who deliver practical, forward-thinking solutions to Texas’s most pressing water challenges. Our team’s dedication has allowed us to make a real difference—enabling critical infrastructure, supporting sustainable growth, and ensuring that water remains a catalyst for progress across the state.”

— Amy Emerson, Co-Managing Partner

As we celebrate this anniversary, we look forward to continued service as leaders in water law, construction, and infrastructure—helping our clients and communities build a stronger, more resilient Texas.
